|CITB - Achieving Behavioural Change (ABC)||CITB||The course is designed to provide an understanding of how positive attitude, behaviour, communication and worker engagement at all levels can help reduce the chances of accidents occurring on construction sites.|
Whilst the course is designed with construction sites specifically in mind, the course can be tailored to suit other working environments.
|CITB - Health & Safety Awareness||CITB||This course is for those who have entered, or are about to enter, the construction and civil engineering industry as a member of the workforce to help them understand the potential hazards that they face at work on site. It aims to provide a practical summary of health and safety, welfare and environmental health and safety issues. The course also allows delegates to identify their individual responsibilities for looking after themselves and others, what the employer's duties are and what should be done if they think anyone's health and safety is being put at risk.||1 Day|
|CITB - SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)||CITB||Site managers, agents and persons who are, or are about to be, responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff and workforce.|
SMSTS courses cover all relevant legislation and other aspects which affect safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture among the workforce.
|CITB - SMSTS Refresher||CITB||Aimed at those who currently hold a valid Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificate. The certificate has to be renewed every five years by attending this SMSTS Refresher course.|
This course aims to give candidates an understanding of their responsibilities and accountability for site safety, health and welfare and current health and safety legislation including risk assessment.
|CITB - SSSTS (Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme)||CITB||Intended for those who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities. It provides supervisors with an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues, as well as their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities. It will highlight the requirement to promote health and safety in order to supervise effectively. This course is endorsed by the United Kingdom Contractors Group as the standard training for all supervisors working on UKCG sites.||2 Days|
|CITB - SSSTS Refresher||CITB||The refresher course is for delegates who have previously passed the two day Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course and can provide proof of successful attendance. It aims to bring health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. The course includes a wide range of topics which have been affected by the changes to procedures built upon the material in the original course.||1 Day|
|CITB – SEATS (Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme)||CITB||Developed for site supervisors / managers with the aim of providing candidates with an introduction to environmental issues on construction sites.||1 Day|
|CITB - TWCTC (Temporary Works Coordinator Training Course)||CITB||Designed to assist those on site who have responsibility for managing all forms of temporary works giving confidence to senior management and those who engage with contractors, to reach an assessed standard of knowledge.||2 Days|
|CITB - TWSTC (Temporary Works Supervisor Training Course)||CITB||This course complements the Temporary Works Co-ordinator Training Course (TWCTC) and is designed to provide training for those undertaking the role of Temporary Works Supervisor as defined in BS5975:2008+A1:2011.||1 Day|
|CITB - Directors Role for Health & Safety||CITB||This one-day interactive course has been designed for company Directors with the aim of recognising the human and financial implications of health and safety legislation non-compliance.|
The course will provide a summary of how to promote a positive organisational culture for health and safety. Workshop exercises throughout the day will give delegates the opportunity to discuss their thoughts about health and safety and their responsibilities in an open forum.
