This Level 3 Apprenticeship is aimed at team leaders / supervisors with a first line management role in private, public or third sector organisations. They will have operational / project responsibilities or responsibilities for managing a team. Their key responsibilities are likely to include supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources, delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships internally and externally.
The Team Leader/Supervisor Level 3 apprenticeship requires apprentices to take responsibility for managing a team or a discrete project. They can support, manage and develop team members, manage projects, plan and monitor workloads and resources. They can take responsibility for delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships.
No prior knowledge, understanding, skills or qualifications are required before learners register for this qualification. However, learners will need to be on an apprenticeship programme, or be otherwise employed in a first line management role with operational/project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team.

On completing the Apprenticeship, learners can choose to register as associate members with a relevant management and leadership professional body in order to support their professional career development and progression.
