This course is designed for existing fossil fuel plumbing and heating engineers, aiming to expand their proficiency in the installation of heat pumps. The course aims for candidates to demonstrate understanding and competence in installing various heat pump systems, covering operational characteristics, components, selection principles, system design, safety regulations, and industry standards. Upon the successful completion of both core and specialized technology modules, participants will be thoroughly equipped to undertake the installation, commissioning, and handover of specific heat pump technologies. Finally, this course is recognised as a demonstration of competence for the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).

Assessment
This classroom-based course awards a nationally recognised qualification upon passing multiple-choice exams and task-based controlled assessments. There are both theoretical and practical elements to all training and assessments.
Certification
Every candidate will receive a certificate and photo ID competency card, valid for 5 years.
