The BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering is eligible for Adult Education Funding and is an ideal introduction into the hospitality and catering industry. Individuals will gain a nationally recognised Hospitality and Catering Level 2 Certificate.
This qualification develops the knowledge an employee will need to work safely and responsibly in a hospitality environment. The objectives of this qualification are to help you understand the importance of team work, and why it’s important to maintain a safe, hygienic and secure working environment. It allows you to understand how to maintain food safety whilst giving customers a positive impression of themselves and their organisation.
Classroom delivery, with achievement of the assessment criteria evidenced through contextualised, vocationally-related and practical experiences, along with completion of portfolio of evidence.
Delegates will be awarded the Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Food and Beverage Service).
The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificates in Hospitality and Catering Principles provide opportunities for learners to progress into employment as hospitality staff, or onto Specialist qualifications such as the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Professional Cookery) or the Pearson BTEC Level 3 in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership Principles.
