  • Statutory Legislation and Guidance: Gain insight into the legal framework governing dust management, including compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • The Respiratory System and Health Effects: Explore how dust impacts the respiratory system and learn about potential health consequences, including chronic conditions and occupational diseases.
  • Hazard Identification: Identify and understand the main hazards associated with exposure to Asbestos, Silica, Wood, and general dust, along with their specific risks.
  • Risk and Control Measures: Learn the principles of risk assessment and implement effective control measures to minimize dust exposure in the workplace.
  • Workplace Exposure Limits (WEL) and Assigned Protection Factors (APF): Understand these critical concepts to ensure proper monitoring and protective measures.
  • Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE): Recognise the types of RPE, their proper fit, testing requirements, and effective management practices.
