Course Information
The Emergency First Aid at Work Training Course is designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities.
First responders play a crucial role in maintaining workplace safety. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations of 1981 mandate that every employer must establish provisions to guarantee that their staff promptly receive assistance in case of injury or illness while on the job. This entails designating an adequate number of first aid personnel and delivering relevant first aid instruction.
During this 1 day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding, and minor injuries.
The objective of the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is to benefit learners by enabling them to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations and/or take on the role of emergency first aider in the workplace. Were you aware that approximately 600,000 workers in the United Kingdom experience workplace injuries annually?
The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations of 1981 oblige all employers to establish measures ensuring their employees promptly receive care when injured or taken ill at work. This entails conducting a risk assessment, designating an adequate number of first aiders, and delivering relevant first aid training. However, it's crucial to emphasize that having the appropriate first aid provisions in the workplace is not solely a legal obligation but also of utmost significance for the safety of all staff members!
