The Level 3 Award in Understanding Repair and Maintenance of Traditional pre-1919 Buildings has been developed for delivery in a training environment. This qualification is designed as a bridge between a level 2 craft occupation e.g. Decorative Finishing / Painting and Decorating and the level 3 NVQ Diploma in Heritage Skills. This qualification provide them with knowledge of working with traditional skills used within pre-1919 buildings and to enable the learner to work within their chosen craft and gain work opportunities within the heritage sector of the construction industry.
The purpose of this qualification is for Learners undertaking this qualification typically progress onto the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Heritage Skills. The qualification enables the learner to progress in their chosen trade area e.g. Bricklaying.
This Level 3 qualification is primarily for age 18, learners who want to continue their education and develop their skills for progression to employment or to further learning.
