The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration provides learners with the knowledge that is required to work in a range of environments in a business administration role. Learners will know how to carry out administrative tasks such as managing information and supporting events and will be able to apply their knowledge in a variety of industries and job roles. This qualification is suitable for use within a Study Programme.

Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration Aims and Objectives

This qualification aims to:

  • provide learners with the underpinning knowledge that is required by employees to work in a range of different environments in a business administration role. 

The objectives of this qualification are to help learners to:

  • develop essential knowledge of how to carry out administrative tasks such as how to manage information and supporting events
  • know how to apply their knowledge in a variety of industries and job roles

Achieving the Principles of Business Administration

To be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration, learners are required to successfully complete the 5 mandatory units and 2 optional units. 

This qualification consists of 5 mandatory units:

  1. Principles of providing administrative services
  2. Principles of business document production and information management
  3. Understand communication in a business environment
  4. Understand employer organisations
  5. Understand how to develop working relationships with colleagues

and 16 optional units: 

  1. Understand how to carry out business administration tasks
  2. Understand how to provide administrative support for meetings
  3. Understand how to prepare text
  4. Understand how to store, retrieve and archive information
  5. Understand the administration of human resource records
  6. Understand how to use and maintain supplies and office equipment
  7. Understand customer service
  8. Understand the use of research in business
  9. Principles of customer relationships
  10. Know how to publish, integrate and share using social media
  11. Exploring social media
  12. Understand the safe use of online and social media platforms
  13. Principles of equality and diversity in the workplace
  14. Principles of marketing theory
  15. Principles of digital marketing
  16. Principles of team leading

Assessment & Certification

Assessment

To be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration, learners are required to successfully complete the 5 mandatory units and 2 optional units.

Assessment involves an online supported delivery approach - The course is completed remotely with the support of a qualified assessor, who will provide feedback and advice until all units are complete.

Certification

Delegates will be awarded the NCFE  Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration.
