Building team resilience begins with individuals developing awareness of their own mental health and stress levels.
Understanding what causes stress or overwhelm can help individuals support themselves and their colleagues more effectively.
The CALMER framework can help teams respond to stress and challenging situations:
C – Consider individual reactions and how these may affect the team
A – Acknowledge the impact of stress on the team
L – Listen actively and with empathy
M – Manage the situation as it evolves
E – Enable individuals by offering choices and support
R – Resource through information and appropriate support
Resilience training helps individuals adapt more effectively to emotionally challenging situations.
Developing resilience provides teams with tools and strategies that help reduce the impact of stress, improve wellbeing and increase confidence when dealing with demanding situations.
Organisations that support resilience often see improved teamwork, stronger communication and better overall wellbeing.
There are no formal prerequisites for attending this course.
Mental health training can sometimes involve discussion of emotionally challenging situations. Experienced trainers deliver the course in a supportive environment and help learners manage any difficult topics that may arise.
