Learner Numbers

In order to ensure the interaction between the learners and the tutor is spread evenly and effectively, the maximum number of learners allowed on a course is six.

The Tower Crane Rescue course will involve elements of classroom and practical physical tuition. Emphasis will, at all times, be on practical rescues. Under the safe supervision of an instructor.

Delegates will be continually assessed throughout the course.

Successful learners will be awarded an Essential Site Working at Height Rescue Training certificate and ID Card valid for 3 years. (Refresher recommended once a year).

The successful delegate will be deemed competent to use the specific rescue kit on which they have been trained on.

It is highly recommended that rescue trainer personnel receive an annual refresher and carryout Maintenance of Competence (MOC) training every 3 months on site at ground level. This is to ensure rescuers remain competent and confident on the rescue equipment. ESS are pleased to offer a further half day refresher course to upskill existing rescuers, or, we can provide a scenario based exercise in the form of a ‘secret shopper’ in order to test the current competence, efficiency and application of rescue requirements on site by your rescue team.

Benefits of Work at Height Training

Second to Respiratory related illnesses only, Work at Height is the 2nd biggest cause of workplace deaths throughout the UK across all industries. To safeguard both the employer and employee, training on working at height procedures and processes is a MUST to avoid potential life changing injuries, if not death to an employee. A suitable and sufficient risk assessment for high risk activities must be carried out with the necessary safety precautions implemented and controlled - the only way to ensure legal and practical compliance is by attending one of our informative Work at Height courses.

Any person who is, or intending to work at height, and in particular those wearing a harness, must receive awareness and practical training on how to inspect and fit a harness correctly.
