Leadership & Management Development Fund for Large Businesses
Empower your construction workforce with tailored leadership and management training. CITB offers non-competitive funding to large construction employers, access up to £100,000 to elevate supervisory, managerial, and leadership capabilities.
What's Funded?
Grants cover a wide range of development activity - so long as it’s focused on building leadership, management, or supervisory skills, for current or future leaders:
- External or in‑house training programmes
- Recognised leadership qualifications
- Coaching, mentoring, 360° feedback or psychometric assessments
- Bespoke training content: videos, modules, guides
- Programme enhancements and improvements
- Travel and subsistence related to training
Excluded: Retrospective training, consultancy fees, capital purchases, unrelated qualifications or awards
Funding Tiers
The maximum award depends on your total PAYE employee count:

Who's Eligible?
- Employers with 250 or more directly employed staff (as per the latest Levy return)
- Must be CITB registered and up to date with Levy returns and payments
- Only one application per associated business group

Application Info
- Open now - you can apply at any time
- Use funds within 18 months of the agreement, or by March 2027, whichever comes first
- Activities must start after funding notification - no retrospective costs
