NVQ Information
The ProQual Level 3 Diploma in Management is a nationally recognised qualification for people working in supervisory, team-leading and first-line management roles.
It develops the practical skills, knowledge and understanding needed to manage people, lead teams, support business objectives and improve organisational performance. It also gives experienced supervisors and managers the opportunity to gain formal recognition for the competence they demonstrate through their normal work.
This is a work-based, competence-assessed qualification. Learners must be working in a suitable role that allows them to generate evidence against the units they select and demonstrate the required level of management responsibility.
There is no requirement to attend college or sit a formal written examination. Assessment is completed through a portfolio of workplace evidence, supported by an appropriately experienced and qualified assessor.
This qualification is suitable for:
Supervisors
Team leaders
First-line managers
Employees preparing to take on greater management responsibility
People who manage staff, projects, customers, workplace processes or business improvement activities
Experienced managers who want formal recognition of their workplace competence
Learners do not necessarily need to have the word "manager" in their job title. However, they must have sufficient responsibility and access to suitable evidence to meet the qualification's assessment criteria.
There are no formal entry requirements.
An initial assessment should be completed before registration to identify the learner's existing skills and knowledge, confirm that their role is suitable and agree an appropriate combination of optional units.
