ATB Civil Engineering Ltd are a groundworks and civil engineering specialist that has been operating since 2012. Based in Chesterfield, they have worked on a range of projects across the midlands and northern England. These have included residential, industrial and infrastructure building work.
As ATB were increasingly working on large scale-projects, they wanted to make sure that they had all the necessary training and had ticked all the right boxes in order to win and fulfil these larger contracts. This was also a great opportunity to upskill workers in order to continue growing as a company.
Working together with ATB, we put together a training needs analysis to work out what qualifications and certificates their workforce needed. Using the Skills Support for the Workplace funding we successfully managed to upskill a number of their workforce with a variety of NVQs in Plant and Construction Operations.
When we use ESS they have several different ways in delivering a course. Without the funding we wouldn’t have been able to upscale as many employers as we have been able to, and as a result of that we wouldn’t have won as many tenders as we have done.
