Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability

This Entry Level 3 qualification provides learners with a range of skills and knowledge. Learners will also develop an understanding of energy efficiency and sustainability that will support progress to further learning across a range of subjects.

Energy Efficiency and Sustainability - Qualification Purpose

This vocational qualification aims to introduce learners to sustainability and develop their awareness of the environment, considering how consumption levels can impact on the environment and how reducing waste can support the environment. Learners will explore their carbon footprint and consider different ways that they can reduce it, including ways to improve energy efficiency where they live or work. Different sources of energy are explored, and learners will carry out basic research into how renewable energy is developed and recognising common issues with renewable energy sources.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for learners undertaking this qualification. The qualification can be undertaken without any previous training or qualifications in this subject area. 

Learners must be able to demonstrate the requirements of the qualification and have access to required assessment opportunities and relevant resources.

The qualification is available to learners aged 14 years or over.
