NVQ Information
The NVQ Level 2 Plant Operations - Processing qualification structure below specifies the combination of units that need to be achieved for the individual to be awarded the qualification, to confirm competence for preparing and operating either batching plant, crushers or screeners in the workplace.
The CPCS Red Trained Operator card is valid for 2 years, during which time you are required to undertake the relevant plant NVQ to upgrade to the Blue Competent Operator Card. On completion of your NVQ qualification, along with passing the relevant CPCS tests and the CITB HS&E test (within the last 2 years), you will be able to apply for the Blue CPCS card.

To achieve this qualification a minimum of 17 credits need to be attained. 5 credits must be achieved form the Mandatory Group and a minimum of 12 credits from the Optional Group.
