NVQ Information
The Excavated Underpinning qualification structure below specifies the combination of units that need to be achieved for the individual to be awarded the qualification, for those working as a specialist in excavated underpinning operations within the construction industry.
On completion of your NVQ qualification, along with passing the relevant CITB HS&E test (within the last 2 years), you will be able to apply for the blue CSCS skilled worker card.
Minimum Credit Value: 81

To achieve this qualification a minimum of 81 credits needs to be attained. This comprises the 4 mandatory units plus a minimum of 14 credits from ONE unit must come from Optional Group A with a further 44 credits from FOUR units which must come from Optional Group B.
Mandatory Units - The learner must achieve 23 credits from the 4 units in this Mandatory Group.
Optional Group A - The learner must achieve a minimum of 14 credits from at least 1 unit in this Optional Group.
Optional Group B - The learner must achieve a minimum of 44 credits from at least 4 units in this Optional Group.
