The Controlling Lifting Operations - Planning Lifts qualification structure below specifies the combination of units that need to be achieved for the individual to be awarded the qualification, for those working as an Appointed Person and carrying out planning lifts within the construction industry.


CPCS Blue Card

The CPCS Red Trained Operator card is valid for 2 years, during which time you are required to undertake the relevant plant NVQ to upgrade to the Blue Competent Operator Card. On completion of your NVQ qualification, along with passing the relevant CPCS tests and the CITB HS&E test (within the last 2 years), you will be able to apply for the Blue CPCS card.
