This is a work-based qualification, meaning learners must be employed in a relevant glazing role to enrol and complete the NVQ, as assessment is carried out within a real workplace environment.
On successful completion of the NVQ qualification, learners will be eligible to apply for the Blue CSCS Q-Card, confirming skilled worker status within the glazing sector under the CSCS Partner Card Scheme.

The GQA Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Glazing is made up of units which carry individual credit values. These credits must be achieved in the correct combination of mandatory and optional units.
This qualification includes 6 mandatory units and two pathway options: Glazing and Fire Resistant Glazing.
To achieve the qualification, learners must complete all 6 mandatory units and meet the unit and credit requirements of their chosen pathway. For the Glazing pathway, this includes achieving a minimum of 6 credits from the optional units. The Fire Resistant Glazing pathway includes additional mandatory units and at least one optional unit.
All units are made up of the knowledge and practical skills required to carry out glazing work safely and competently. All learning outcomes must be achieved in order to be awarded each unit.
