This is a work-based qualification, meaning learners must be employed in a relevant glazing role to enrol and complete the NVQ, as assessment takes place in a real workplace environment.
On successful completion of the NVQ qualification, learners will be eligible to apply for the Gold CSCS Q-Card, confirming advanced or supervisory status within the glazing sector under the CSCS Partner Card Scheme.

The GQA Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Glazing is made up of units which carry individual credit values. These credits must be achieved in the correct combination of mandatory and optional units.
This qualification includes 3 mandatory units and two optional unit groups.
To achieve the qualification, learners must complete all 3 mandatory units, achieve a minimum of 7 credits from Optional Group 1, and a minimum of 6 credits from Optional Group 2.
All units are made up of the knowledge and practical skills required to carry out glazing work safely and competently, including leading and coordinating glazing activities where required. All learning outcomes must be achieved in order to be awarded each unit.
