This course is designed for those personal who work at height and may be required to select and use a temporary Horizontal Life Line (HLL) and connect via a lanyard to traverse parallel next to a hazard.

Horizontal Life Line (Temporary) Awareness Course Overview

This course will give learners the knowledge and understating of when and how to use a HLL safely on site using a variety of temporary systems in varying acceptable conditions.

  • Temporary HLL types, limitations, anchor requirements
  • SWL
  • Inspection and testing of a HLL
  • Set up and demo of a different types of temporary HLL

In order to ensure the interaction between the learners and the tutor is spread evenly and effectively, the maximum number of learners allowed on a course is twelve.

Learners attending this course must already hold a basic work at height awareness certificate.

On site locations must provide the relevant HLL they would like to use. If you are not sure and would like to see options available to you this can be arranged with prior engagement at the course booking stage. Our trainer will provide 2-3 options for training. ESS are also a market leading provider of HLL’s, both temporary and permanent, and would be happy to advise.
