Enrolment Officer

Essential Site Skills are seeking an additional enrolment officer to carry out profiling sessions with potential learners to establish the most suitable qualifications to enhance their skills, and support with Training Needs Analysis (TNA) when required. They will be required to conduct enrolment sessions with learners to obtain all the relevant information to register them onto the relevant qualification.

Specific Duties

  • Providing knowledgeable and supportive advice and guidance to assist employers to complete a full training needs analysis of all their training requirements (if required to support the Business Development Team)
  • Complete enrolment documentation to fully record the requirements of individual learning plan
  • Advising individual learners of the most suitable qualifications to their current role
  • Conducting enrolment sessions with individual or groups of learners to meet all company and funding partner requirements
  • Completing all relevant documentation in a timely and compliant manner
  • Liaising with the BDMs to arrange enrolment session

Adult Skills Assessor

Location: Nationwide

Salary: Per Learner

Essential Site Skills are seeking to add an experienced Adult Skills Tutor. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery and achievement of a range of NCFE workbook courses, mainly within the Health and Social Care sector. The post holder will be able to plan and carry out assessment against nationally recognised standards to ensure timely achievement of qualifications.

Specific Duties  

  • Work closely with learners to support them with their qualification and to monitor progress to ensure learning outcomes are achieved timely.
  • Visit learners to provide learning, assessment, support, prepare and review action plans, undertake assessments and provide feedback in line with regulatory and organisational requirements as part of the programme requirements to ensure successful achievement of their awards.
  • Maintain appropriate assessment records and ensure relevant paperwork is completed accurately to evidence the assessment process.
  • Receive and act on feedback from internal and external verifiers.
  • Communicate with employers and workplace mentors to confirm assessment dates, times and activities and to build positive relationships.
  • Travel to a variety of locations to meet planned employer and learner visits, as required.
  • Carry out risk assessments for new and existing settings, where needed.
  • Work according to awarding organisation rules and regulations in all areas.
  • Manage your own workload to ensure the full requirements of the post are carried out.
  • Play an active role in the organisation, contributing to meetings, Schemes of Work, assessment, updates as appropriate and sharing best practice.
  • Provide IAG sessions to individuals and groups as required.
  • Read, understand and carry out accordingly the organisational policies and procedures, in particularly Safeguarding, Recruitment, Selection and Disclosure, Prevent, GPDR, E-Safety and Acceptable Use.
  • Receive appropriate training as deemed necessary by the organisation to fulfil job and organisational requirements.
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by the line manager, providing flexible support to any other area of the business ad-hoc.

We are looking for a Health & Safety trainer to deliver a range of courses within the CITB Site Safety Plus Scheme, such as Health & Safety Awareness, SSSTS, SMSTS and SEATS. In addition ideally be able to deliver NEBOSH General/Construction and IOSH courses or have the skillset to become accredited to deliver these through our centre.

The role will require you to be involved in all aspects of the course delivery, liaising with employers, learners and internal staff. You will be required to possess a strong background in Construction and be responsible for developing and continuously improving the quality of delivery to ensure the learner experience is of the highest standard.

Requirements for the role:

  • Proven experience working within the Construction Plant Competence Scheme as a trainer / Tester
  • Knowledge of CPCS/ NPORS processes and procedures
  • Trainer and tester in all, or the majority of the following categories:
    • Mobile Crane (A60)
    • Appointed Person – Lifting Operations (A61)
    • Lift Supervisor (A62)
    • Overhead Crane (A64)
    • Compact Crane (A66)

  • CPCS tester/trainer in other categories would be an advantage but not essential

We are looking for a Business Admin Apprentice to offer support to our Commercial Training Team, providing efficient and professional administrative support to the Commercial Training Manager, assisting in daily office needs and managing the departments general administrative duties.

Responsibilities will include answering and directing incoming phone calls, dealing and responding to certificate enquiries, processing NVQ and training course certificates, assisting with training course enquiries through the booking process, greeting and assisting visitors to the office, processing incoming and outgoing post, monitoring stationary and course materials, and replenishing when necessary, ensure tutor center files are kept up to date with current documentation prior to any training being delivered (i.e. in-date Professional Indemnity / Public Liability Insurance, copies of training certificates, cards and accreditation’s etc).

The above duties are only a brief outline, as the role can be quite varied due to the nature of the industry and the roles within the business. As the individuals progress through their qualifications and increase their industry knowledge there will be future opportunities for progression within a highly driven business that has a reputation for quality.

As this is an apprentice role we will support you fully in your development, including support through qualifications such as Level 2 NVQ in Business and Administration, Level 2 Certificate in IAG etc.
