Course Information
This course is designed for individuals responsible for conducting statutory scaffold inspections of intricate scaffolding structures. Its purpose is to provide learners with current health and safety information and the necessary factors to consider when performing complex scaffold inspections in accordance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
This CISRS Advanced Scaffolding Training will cover both basic and more complex scaffolding structures. It is aimed at professional Scaffold Inspectors, Scaffolding Supervisors and Managers and others who would be responsible for the inspection of complex tube and fitting scaffolds and completing a report in accordance with Work at Height Regulations 2005.
Before enrolling in a CISRS Advanced Scaffold Inspection course, participants are required to meet one of the following criteria:
Additionally, delegates must have successfully completed a CSCS Health, Safety & Environment test within two years of the course date, or they should have a valid CISRS approved exemption.
In order to ensure the interaction between the learners and the tutor is spread evenly and effectively, the maximum number of learners allowed on a course is twelve.

Assessment
The Advanced SITS course combines classroom tutorial experience and practical exercises over two days.
You will take both practical and written tests, and your performance on both will contribute to your overall evaluation.
Certification
Individuals who gain a CISRS Scaffolding Inspection Training Scheme (SITS) certificate for Advanced Scaffold can apply for a CISRS Advanced Scaffold inspection card. They must also be able to demonstrate that they have a valid CITB Health Safety Environment Test (or recognised exemption) completed within 2 years.
CISRS Advanced Scaffold Inspection Cards are valid for a period of 5 years at which stage they will expire, and it will be necessary to re-qualify.

Please note that this CISRS course provides the delegate with the necessary knowledge to inspect complex Structures. It is his/her employer’s responsibility to demonstrate that the delegate has subsequently gained the relevant practical experience following the course before he/she can be deemed competent.
