An NVQ qualification, sometimes referred to as ‘NVQ courses’, recognises the skills and knowledge you need for your chosen job role, improving employability and transferability. Achieving an NVQ in your chosen industry helps you prove your competency in your desired career path. NVQ qualifications cover a huge range of subjects in almost every occupation within every business sector.
ESS offer over 150 NVQ qualifications at various levels;
If you are looking to upgrade to your Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card, or your Blue CPCS Competent Operator Card, then you will require an NVQ Level 2. Contact us to see if you are eligible to fully fund your qualification through one of the funding streams mentioned above.
If your job requires you to hold a CSCS Gold Card, then achieving an NVQ Level 3 or even NVQ Level 4 will enable you to apply for a Gold CSCS Supervisors card, or an Advanced Craft Gold CSCS Card. In some instances, we can fund a Level 3 NVQ when you are progressing from a Level 2, and also offer the ELCAS option for ex-forces personnel, call us on 0115 8970 529 to find out more.
For those requiring the CSCS Black Managers Card, then ESS offer a range of NVQ Level 6 Construction Site Management and NVQ Level 6 construction Contracting qualifications. We even offer the NVQ Level 7 in Construction Senior Management designed for those in the construction sector who oversee projections from inception to decommissioning, leading project delivery teams. If this is of interest, then our Client Advisors will be able to advise if you are eligible for any funding towards the cost.
Previously CSCS accepted the completion of a construction related NVQ qualification within the last 2 years as an exemption to taking the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test. CSCS decided to end this exemption on the 2nd September 2019, and now applicants will be required to pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test regardless of when they obtained their NVQ.
